As anyone noticed an increase in drug trafficking on their streets lately as well? It seems that it's moving off of Thurston and to the side streets. I've been seeing cars stopping randomly on the side of the road, followed shortly by another car and then sales taking place. I believe it's because they are doing this to avoid the cameras on Thurston and Chili.

I've been keeping an eye out since I've become aware of it lately and I'll be calling 911 the next time I see it.

Our CPOs (Crime Prevention Officers) are asking us to call 911 if we see drug activitiy at the garden. Please try to focus on good descriptions of those causing problems. The CPOs are giving special attention to the garden and they've addresses some problems there. They are also being sensitive to the fact that many people use the garden for its intended purpose.

I went to the first of this series of Tuesday work parties at the Thurston Ravenwood Garden last night. We got a lot accomplished. Currently, there are people using and dealing drugs in and around the garden. Our presence really curtailed that activity yesterday. One neighbor, who lives across from the garden, came out to thank us for being there. So there is a need right now for us to be present at the garden. Please consider coming next Tuesday evening at 7pm or just take a lawn chair up there to hang out in the garden to read or stop at the garden for a few minutes when you are out for a walk. Thanks.

Are you aware of the Garden Group in Location19? You might ask for their help. Sign in and sign up! I am unavailble on the 23th but will look for future dates that I can help when I get my schedule.

Meanwhile, spead the word! Keep up the good work.
